The purchase of a Field Marshal Gaming Convention badge admits one person to all basic activities and exhibits at the convention during regularly scheduled hours for the day(s) it is purchased. Some designated activities require payment of a separate, additional fee.

By attending the convention you understand that convention staff may take video footage and photographs throughout the convention which may be used in highlights, marketing endeavors, or other media. You consent to be filmed or photographed by staff, approved industry, or media during the entire convention without compensation to you. Your attendance constitutes a grant of rights to the convention to reproduce, display, distribute, perform, creative derivitive works of, or otherwise use any video or pictures that it obtains and in any manner throughout the world in perpetuity, including online, for broadcast, or other transmissions.

The badge holder releases the convention and event staff from any liability for loss or damage to persons or property, infringement of any right, or any other claim or course of action of any kind; authorizes and permits the convention and its designees which includes but is not limited to all sponsors, exhibitors and contractors to use and authorize the use of his/her name, voice, likeness and all reproductions thereof by any means and in all media now and hereafter known, including without limitation the Internet, for all purposes worldwide in perpetuity; and agrees to comply with all the rules and regulations of the Event.

These rules apply to all types of attendees, including exhibitors, press, and other congoers. We may also establish additional policies covering press, exhibitors, and others.

The convention’s code of conduct and other rules are subject to change at any time, and without notice, at the discretion of the convention. Violation of the rules is grounds for immediate loss of your convention badge and suspension from the convention.

A Final Word

Please remember, we try to be nice about the rules. All it takes is one person not following them, or trying to break them to ruin the fun for everyone. Rules will get stricter if people break them. If you see someone endangering others with their stunts or props, please tell staff immediately. We’re here for your safety and to make sure everyone has a good time!

Field Marshal Gaming Convention Prize Rules

General Ethics and ConductThe Field Marshal Gaming Convention has several types of giveaways that occur throughout the convention weekend. Here’s what you may want to know about how all of them work!

Orange admission tickets fully isolated on white (with path).Door prizes

All door prizes will be handled daily at or around 7 PM. When you register (or when you pick up your badge upon arrival), you will receive a two-part ticket. Put one part in the prize bucket and keep the other part. We will randomly draw one ticket from the bucket for each prize given away. You must be present to win, and you must show your ticket to claim your prize. Once your ticket has been drawn, it will be removed from the bucket for all subsequent door prize drawings (that is, you can only win one door prize for the whole weekend per ticket). If your ticket is drawn and you are not present, it will be placed back into the bucket for future drawings.

Play and Win

win buttonEach time you participate in a Play and Win game, write down the names of all players who participated in the game (including any teachers you may have had) on the provided cards. When you finish playing the game and return it to the library, put the card in the labeled bucket for that game near the Play and Win area. On Sunday at 2 PM, we will commence Play and Win drawings. Each game will have one card drawn for each copy of the game we have to give away. We will randomly choose one name from the card to win that game.

You need not be present to win, but the person who claims your game must have your name tag and show it to us to get the game. If the person who wins the game is not present, we will put the card back in the bucket and redraw.

Each person is limited to two Play and Win prizes. If your name is drawn for a third time, you may choose to take the game drawn and return one of the games you’ve already won. We will then redraw for the returned game as above. If you choose not to accept the game, we will redraw as described above.

These rules are subject to change. Prize Rules are guidelines, not hard and fast rules. We retain the right to make last minute changes to the way things work, make mistakes, or otherwise somehow vary from these rules!
